Agent Nine and the Killer Beats Page 2
Chapter Two
Nine and Natalie landed on planet Taylor Swift a few days later. They went looking for Six who hadn't replied to any of their texts. Once they found him passed out on a beach covered in seaweed, they scooped him up, literally using a shovel, tossing him into the ship. They took off into space looking for the notorious djs of the galaxy.
"So tell us, what do you know about LiveKitty?" Natalie asked Six as soon as he came to.
"LiveKitty is one of the most dangerous disk jockeys in the world. He is well connected to both the law and the criminal world." Six listed his profile. "He currently resides on planet 2pac. As you know, he's got a whole thug mansion up there."
"Alright so we'll go to planet 2pac." Natalie sighed. "I thought they changed the planet names to real names."
"Nah, that was a letter followed by numbers, this ones different." Six replied. "This planet is all about change."
"So what's our plan then." Natalie thought.
"We go as couriers delivering top notch golf carts across the galaxy." Nine suggested. "We pick up some packages and travel with LiveKitty for a while, try to find out where he keeps Krewe."
"Good idea, what should our company name be?" Six asked.
"What about Secret Courier Group. SCG." Natalie suggested.
"Or the Sexy Courier Group." Nine winked at her.
As the three agents approached planet 2pac, they decided to leave their spaceship in view, so they didn't look suspicious. They found some old courier clothing out at the back of Nine's ship, from a pile of undercover costumes, and put them on. Six's costume was a few sizes too big, but he decided he'll eat into it. As their ship approached closer, Nine's dashboard lit up indicating they were directly above LiveKitty's address. Luckily the dj was currently recording from home and didn't go on tour yet.
Once they landed near the thug mansion they were escorted by a big, giant body guard. The body guard wore a black suit, had sunglasses on, and a microphone with an earpiece. He didn't ask the three any questions as their appearance was pathetic enough for him to know that they were a courier crew. He lead them to the front gates of the mansion and pointed to the front door.
Nine gulped and looked at Six and Natalie. They all put on fake smiles and Nine knocked on the front door of the mansion.
"Who is it?" a male voice called from the inside.
"We are!" Six shouted.
A man with a tear drop tattoo and whiskers opened the main mansion door.
"You're not We Are!" the man said as he swung the door open.
"You must be LiveKitty!" Six shouted excitedly.
"That'd be me. What can I help you with?" LiveKitty looked at the three suspiciously, then glanced at his body guard who shrugged.
"We are your new hired couriers!" Natalie smiled at the man.
"What happened to my old couriers?" Live Kitty asked.
"Uh... A black hole got them. We're here to transport that new secret box of sound you've recently acquired." she nodded, Six and Nine nodded as well.
"Hold on a minute." LiveKitty stepped inside his house leaving the three agents waiting. He returned a few minutes later with three black briefcases. "Here." he said, "Take this to planet Zedd, I'll meet you there tomorrow." he handed Nine and his team briefcases, giving them one each. "You!" he then pointed at the body guard. "You can't just let any random human land here, you must clear that with me first."
"Noted Sir." the body guard replied in a deep voice as LiveKitty slammed the door shut in their faces.
"What a lovely man." Natalie said sarcastically.
The big, giant body guard escorted the agents, currently undercover couriers, back to their ship and watched them lift off into space.
"Well that was easy." Natalie sighed.
"Let's see what's inside these briefcases." Six suggested.
"No!" Nine replied. "It's the most secret melody ever produced. We cannot."
"Okay." Six put his briefcase down. "To planet Zedd then. Do you think LiveKitty is tracking us? I hear beeping coming from your briefcase."
"We have to take a peak." Nine thought curiously out loud.
As Nine's ship moved through space, out in the distance, three black spaceships came into view.
"Look!" Natalie pointed to the three Earth government spaceships heading toward them. "What do they want?"
"I'm not sure..." Nine replied. "Let's call them." Nine read the 1800 number on the side of one of the government ships and dialed it on his dashboard. He then dialed one, then one again, followed by zero.
"If you are being chased by a government ship, please say or key in that ship's license plate number." a lady's voice was heard on the other end of the call. Nine followed her instructions.
"This is agent Webb." a man's voice shouted through Nine's dashboard.
"Hello, how may we help you?" Nine asked.
"You are holding the weapons of mass destruction. Please hand them over immediately. You are under arrest for conspiracy to commit a terrorist attack." The government agent announced.
"We are what?" Natalie asked.
"We've been tracking these mysterious packages for days. Since it wasn't in our territory we waited until its movement. You are working for a Russian terrorist, AKA: LiveKitty. We suggest you hand them over immediately!" the agent replied.
"Quick Nine, camouflage our asses out of here!" Six shouted.
"Roger." Nine replied and pushed the pedal to the metal.
Their spaceship camouflaged and Nine boosted all their ship power pushing it up in space. The three other ships were still behind them.
"You can't hide from us!" the government agent from another ship yelled at the crew. "We've got your phones tracked and your emails hacked!"
At that point, Six and Natalie tossed their phones into a glass of water and Nine slammed on his breaks. The team watched as the three government ships flew by them, and away from their territory.
"Alright, open the briefcases." Nine ordered.
Natalie and Six clicked theirs open. "My god! That guy was right! We both have lethal chemicals of mass destruction in these briefcases." Natalie announced.
Nine opened his and was confused for a bit. Inside his briefcase were ten differently shaped magnets. A tiny metal rod was rotating and skipping from one magnet to another in a pattern of some sort. From a positive, to a negative, to a positive charge, moving all over the surface. "What the hell?" Nine asked and took one magnet out pausing the metal rod. A tiny blinking light on the briefcase stopped blinking.
"No!" Natalie shouted.
Meanwhile, a light went off on LiveKitty's watch. "I think they defused my bomb! we must blast... oh wait... never mind." LiveKitty said as the light turned back on again. "They must've dropped the package. Dumb couriers."
Turns out Natalie held up her phone to the metal rod as water still dripped out from its holes. "He gave us a bomb!" Natalie exclaimed.
"Well duh." Six replied.
"This magnetic briefcase contains a creatively built in version of a countdown clock. It is set to detonate these two other briefcases containing explosives and deadly chemicals. This guy was planning to take down Zedd and all the safes they've got." she speculated.
"How did you know your phone would work?" Nine asked Natalie.
"This thing is so magnetic, I'm surprised they're legal." she explained. "We must throw these briefcases into a black whole. We'll only keep this rod and my phone in the main briefcase since it contains the tracker. LiveKitty won't suspect a thing."
"Oh yeah, I'm sure." Six replied sarcastically.
"Quiet you! We're only in this mess because of you!" Natalie reminded Six. She then pointed at him and waved her finger.
"Oh right, sorry." Six said quietly. "I'll be good."
"We have to find Krewe." Nine continued. "Where do you think LiveKitty keeps them? Do you think Kitty's got their secret melody?"
"I'm not sure. Without
their set LiveKitty won't be able to play it." Six explained. "I'm quite positive that guy is going to bring Krewe on his tour on planet Zedd tomorrow."
"You may be right Alex. Let's head to Zedd and trap LiveKitty once and for all." Nine slammed his fist into his hand and made a point out to everyone. "We must get some dj equipment from Earth and go undercover as djs. It's the only way we could get close to Krewe."
Natalie emptied out the briefcase by tossing out the oddly shaped magnets and put her phone with a metal rod inside it. Nine closed the briefcase and noticed the light was still blinking, indicating their plan was going to work. He then put in the coordinates to a near by black hole and blasted the other two briefcases containing deadly chemicals into it.
"Won't he suspect that we only have one briefcase?" Six asked.
"Not to worry, he won't suspect a thing." Natalie nodded to Six.
"You got any alcohol on this boat?" Six asked Nine and started to look for drinks on the ship. "Ah here we go." he then pulled out a tiny fridge from the back. "You know, you're a very classy agent Nine. You're like a cocktail agent."
"Got to stay classy my friend." Nine smiled at Six. "For the foxy ladies." he winked.
"Don't encourage him." Natalie told Nine.
Nine flew his ship to Chicago IL on Earth and parked his ship on a parking space in the largest mall in town. He then ran out to grab some turntables, a mix board, and music to mix to. When he got back he noticed Natalie and Six were starting a party of their own in his ship as they continued to research house music. Boom, boom, boom.
"Do any of you know how to..." before Nine could finish Six interrupted him.
"Spin? Oh yea!" Six grabbed the recently purchased dj equipment from Nine and began setting it up. "I'm going to take you to an another dimension. Prepared to be dazzled!"
Nine turned to his controls and set course to planet Zedd.
"I also got some gear." Nine handed a bag of clothing to his crew.
"I'm not wearing this PHAT shirt." Natalie stared at Nine.
"We could just wear what we've got." Six explained. "We're dressed pretty classy as we are. People at these parties are pretty easy going, no worries."
